Last Saturday night my mom and dad had a talk with me. Not much was said, we were just happy being together. But up to that night, I had never seen my dad cry. Honestly, that was new to me. But I realized at that point how much my going away was going to affect him. He told me he was sorry for all the times that he wasn’t the best father, and my mom said the same thing. They didn’t need to. I could never ask for better parents. I’m perfectly happy with the ones I’ve got. There is no one in my life I could ask advice from that would give me a better answer than my mom and dad. I’m going to miss them while I’m in BMT, while I’m in tech school, and while I serve my country at whatever base the Air Force places me. I know they’ll miss me more, but it’s time for the bird to fly from the nest. Tomorrow I end my life as a civilian and become a member of the armed forces. I love you Mom. I love you Dad. :)

If you truly love someone you will never let materialistic items or any person get in the way of that.

I heard today that my family member’s boyfriend went out, got drunk, and came home to her and told her he hasn’t loved her in the past three months, he’s attracted to other women that he meets when he goes out of town with his band, he told her he will never love her like she loves him, and said she is domesticating the house and he doesn’t like that.

Now that you know why I am writing this, I will go on with what I have to say.
No matter HOW attracted you are to someone, it is not worth risking everything for the person that really makes you happy.
If you don’t want to be with that person, let them go…
Please, so they can find someone who will love them the way they deserve.
If you do want to be with/love them…
Do not be stupid and throw it away.
Appreciate them. Respect them. Love them.

MEN:
First off, Women have the instinct to nurture and love. We come off as harsh and moody some of the time, but we do not mean it in a harmful matter. If you give a woman a reason to be insecure then that is your fault, so don’t get mad at us when we get jealous and seem controling. We only do it because we care. If we didn’t care, you would know. Also, we know how to take a joke if it’s put in the right way… Joking areas that we are self concsious about are not humorous. Lastly, We just want respect, always.

WOMEN:
Okay, men do not think the same way we do. Men like to solve problems, while we just go with our emotions. We can be irrational and expect more out of guys than we should. Women should be independent and support themselves. Let him have his guy time, they need it. Don’t put up with abuse, EVER. Men show they care by doing little things and don’t realize we need to hear it to… This goes back to men think differently. Be patient.

ps. Of course I said this all from a woman’s perspective and I understand that men have a different outlook. I think in a relationship two people should work together instead of apart. I could go on about this, but this is the basics.
